In studio Habits will be presented an exhibition space dedicated to the historic German company Braun. The environment includes an area dedicated to an introspective exhibition which reflects the company philosophy with both historical and contemporary products and an interactive video installation.

A second area presents a summary of the projects developed in the last 3 years in a pilot laboratory course called SMART Design, organized by Braun, together with the School of Design of the Milan’s Polytechnic, MSc in Integrated Product Design, and design studio Habits.

The outcome describes a new natural dimension and an unexplored relation between users and objects in a technologically evolving home environment.

The concept of Smart takes in this context a new meaning: a smart one that does not impose technology but instead it focuses on the needs of the user, smartly and autonomously adapting. It’s a soft technological approach that satisfies the needs of more aware generations.

The displayed proposals represent an interesting crosssection of new trends in relation to different primary themes such as eating, drinking and self-caring. New messages emerge among different fringe areas that can lead to the evolution of domestic objects.

This is an educational experimentation but also an open laboratory about the future, which testifies to the courage of a brand with a great tradition who always seeks to innovate. This exhibition focuses on the vision developed for and with over 150 young future designers, and it will be divided into six micro areas.

Zero waste is the area dedicated to the reduction of food waste by proposing a re-usage of the leftovers, always supplying a good consumption without compromising the quality. The topic of aromas is the one dedicated to the creations of aromas. Thanks to the study of old processes it brings new life to all the environments. An extraordinary and innovative trend is entomophagy which has the capability to innovate everyday recipes with an eye on the new nutritional requests.

Moreover, the new technologies that are shaping our daily lives, give life to the theme of future kitchen formats. This, provides a radical change in the habits of our kitchens. Vegetable forward cuisine, is the area where is possible to rediscover and update natural and traditional processes in order to provide users with new emotional experiences. And at last, the clothes care represent how we present our self to modern society. Here a few projects will guide the visitor into new ways of taking care of the clothes.

The exhibition will be an interactive micro installation and an experiential event to enter and try to imagine a more human future.
